We’re Here Because
We Know How It Feels.
Wags & Woof was born from heartbreak—a loss that hit us harder than we ever imagined, a moment that left us feeling powerless. The guilt, the regret, the crushing realization that things could have—should have—been different tore at us. That pain exposed a harsh truth: not all pet care is created equal.
We know that feeling—the fear, the doubt, the helplessness—because we’ve lived it, and it’s why everything we do now is built on care, compassion, and unwavering respect for every pet we meet. We know how it feels—the ache in pausing your day, stepping away from your life—and to hand over your heart and hope it’s safe in someone else’s hands.
With Wags & Woof, your pet isn’t just looked after—because their time, their joy, their safety, and comfort isn’t less valuable than anyone else’s.
Paws & Questions

Every pet is unique, and some need a little extra time and patience to feel comfortable. We take things slow—allowing them to approach us at their own pace, offering gentle reassurance, and observing their body language. We always start with a free meet-and-greet (or two) so both pets and their humans can get to know us in a calm, low-pressure environment.

Yes. Our experience with rescues, senior pets, and special-needs companions comes not just from our work, but from our lives—our own special-needs dog has taught us patience, understanding, and the joy of celebrating every little victory. Caring for these pets is truly a privilege, and they always hold a special place in our hearts.

We know how much peace of mind it brings. Every visit is more than care—it’s a moment to connect. We share photos of tail wags to little notes about naps, playtime, or walks—it’s our way of keeping you close, even when you’re not home.
-
Our favorite way to bond with a new pet is to let them set the pace. Often, the smallest moments—like a gentle scratch behind the ears, a slow walk together, or simply sitting nearby while they relax—become the foundation of a lasting bond.

Yes, and we take it seriously. Beyond the paperwork, every visit is handled with responsibility, compassion, and a commitment to making your pet feel loved and secure.
